As 2026 gets properly underway — with the end of what can feel like a very long January in sight — there is a great deal for employers to consider.
From February, we will start to see the effects of the Employment Rights Bill taking shape, particularly in relation to collective workplace rights and trade union provisions

Beyond that, attention will quickly turn to April and a number of significant changes, including reforms to sick pay and paternity leave. Employers will need to review and implement updated policies and procedures to ensure compliance and good practice.
Please feel free to get in touch if any employment relations issues arise for you or your business this year. I would be very happy to discuss, advise, and connect — or re-connect.
